Art2Life Workshop

“Art is not just ornamental – an enhancement of life. It is a path in itself – a way out of the predictable and conventional – a map to self discovery.” –Gabrielle Roth

I just finished an amazing 3 month online workshop with Nicholas Wilton – Art2Life.  It wasn’t a workshop based on learning new painting techniques necessarily.  Although we did discuss the principles of design and a little about color theory, materials and tools. It was more about discovering and clarifying my own artistic path. Another wonderful side effect from this class was getting to know about 200 other artists from all over the world who I shared these lessons with. No matter where we are, we are now connected by the Art2Life community. It’s brilliant really and I highly recommend attending any of his various workshops (click on the link to visit his webpage to learn more).

Here is some of my new work done in this workshop —

Is He Home Yet? (22.5×22.5)

Finding Balance Above It All (12×12)

Animal Testing On The Farm (14×14)

Where’s My Moose Going? (sold)

“then, she began to breathe, and live, and every moment took her to a place where goodbyes were hard to come by. she was in love, but not in love with someone or something, she was in love with her life. and for the first time, in a long time, everything was inspiring.” -r.m. drake

About Judy Shreve

Blogging for me is like keeping a journal which I have done in various forms since I can remember. But what's great about this format is it offers an opportunity to explore all the things that interest me as an artist with others. Blogging seems to strengthen that sense of being part of both something personal and something universal. It takes the journaling idea and expands it through visitor's comments creating a valuable dialog that connects us to each other no matter where we live. I enjoy responding to each comment and warmly welcome your visits. email: judyshreve at mac dot com

  1. Hi Judy…
I love all of your whimsical work, but the moose is still my favorite! 🙂

Hi Mandy! Thanks for visiting and your comment. I love that moose too. He’s sold – going to a good friend who’s wife bought it for his birthday. That makes me happy!

I love your blog with its thought provoking words and whimsical paintings!
That moose is also a favorite of mine.

Hi Karen! Thank you! I had quit blogging for awhile and CVP inspired me to start again! What a journey this program has been. Hope to do more moose-like paintings soon!
