Spotlight On Art

“One does not think during creative work any more than one thinks when driving a car. But one has a background of years – learning, unlearning, success, failure, dreaming, thinking, experience, all this – then the moment of creation, the focusing of all into the moment.” -Edward Weston

Sure wish everyone could come to the Spotlight on Art Show. It’s amazing — from their website

These are the pieces I am delivering on Saturday —

“Ever since I was a small child, every now and then I’d get a glimpse, like a shiver, of what’s underneath the illusion and it’s the promise of another look at that – that drives me to do this absurd thing for a living.” -Ellen Gilchrist

About Judy Shreve

Blogging for me is like keeping a journal which I have done in various forms since I can remember. But what's great about this format is it offers an opportunity to explore all the things that interest me as an artist with others. Blogging seems to strengthen that sense of being part of both something personal and something universal. It takes the journaling idea and expands it through visitor's comments creating a valuable dialog that connects us to each other no matter where we live. I enjoy responding to each comment and warmly welcome your visits. email: judyshreve at mac dot com

I come by every once in a while. Peeking. Lost in the wonder and wander your paintings. It is good to say hello again. Happy opening 🙂

Hi Charlene! Thanks for stopping by. Spotlight on Art is a great show. It’s an annual show/fundraiser that’s been going on for 32 years! I did it last year — everyone has great sales. It’s a good thing!
