Judy,
Amen and Amen!!! Wonderful post. Lovely painting. Those are some of my favorite colors.
As for pinterest, I checked it out and I decided it is not for me, Tumblr serves me better and I love the eye candy, but I have no need to organize it. I only go to my facebook page once or twice a month and I never get to my flickr page and it appears no one else does either LOL. Of course I have no links to it any where and I never have time to post new things. My blog and my Tumblr blog are where I spend the most time on line and I love to visit other blogs and check out other artists on their sidebar, that is how I found you and Robyn. I keep looking for more kindred spirits. You can get to my blog by clicking here on my name and my Tumbler blog is on my sidebar. Someday I will get my Facebook and Flickr links there as well. Happy creating! XOXO

Love the work Judy- it is still moving along at a great pace.

oh so true, I am trying to go forward rather than be sucked into the debauchery of semantics. I hate to loose friendships, but perhaps they weren't friendships after all. Life is too short and fragile for this type of bantering; I am striving to the positive and kindness towards all those around me.

Pinterest is actually fun! I've resisted it for months. I don't know what changed for me today, but I'm glad I joined in.

I'm sorry this has been a hard week for you. Some folks can be so blind to what their actions/comments can do - sounds like you have the right attitude just push kindness forward! I find that the people who need to treat others that way have the least self-confidence and need kindness the most, but seem likely to push it away by their actions. Hope things get better.

I just asked for an invite to Pinterest, eye candy is a good thing.

For me to think of myself as good - for me to feel at peace with what I do - that really calls to me this week for so many reasons. and to be kind, having been on the brunt of unkindness is a reminder for me to temper my hurt feelings with even more kindness towards others. I'll come back to post my links, thanks for an inspiring post.

Thanks Charlene. I also love the 'make your own marks' quote. It's so easy to be influenced - so much out there to see. I think it's becoming increasingly difficult to 'edit-out' the world.
I'm excited to be studying color - not something I've ever taken the time to do - so 'yes' it is a good thing!

Great quotes--especially the one about uniqueness of one's marks. Love the birds, too. Love the dots. They are intriguing marks. It is a good thing to get to know your colors before you use them on your canvas. They can have hidden charms all on their own. I found one brand's cad yellow (or red or blue) can have a different hue from another. Best of all you can get right down to business and paint your heart out!

Judy,

Wonderful painting! I love your birds.
You are on your way, painting with your heart is the only way, the head always leads us off path.
xoxo

Stephanie,

Here are some links of spots in the Alpharetta area that offer clay classes. I don't know where anyone rents studio space.

Hope you find a spot to work.
